Wow, what a beautiful view of the Doubs

The Doubs valley is bordered by cliffs and marked ridge paths : the perfect spot for breathtaking views!

Don't have time for a hike? No problem, check out our selection of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Doubs Valley that are easily accessible.

Chatard Cross Belvedere

The Cross of Châtard is the most spectacular viewpoint of the city Baume les Dames : from up there, you can admire the meanders of the Doubs, the city, the Ropp pipes site, the Babre cleft. A orientation table will help you find your way.

To get there : park at the top of the D112, towards Bretigney Notre Dame. From the small parking area, it's a 1,3 km walk along the ridge to reach the viewpoint. The effort is well worth it!

BEARD SLOT Belvedere

Take to the skies to discover Baume les dames, the Ropp pipes sector, the Doubs valley? Head to the Babre cleft: the view is breathtaking!

To get there : park at the Virgin car park which is located along the D19e between Baume les Dames and Lomont sur Crête.

Distance 2.5 km round trip.

Rechandet Belvedere

It's from far away the most beautiful viewpoint in the Doub Valleys: the rock of Rechandet.
Access is quite easy but not possible with a stroller.

This beautiful viewpoint is also accessible via the “Le sentier des crêtes” hike.

Chassignole Belvedere

Take to the skies! From the Chassignole belvedere you are guaranteed a breathtaking view of the Doubs valley.

This beautiful viewpoint is also accessible via the “Mont Dommage” hike (11,4 km).

Belvedere of the Aigremont chapel

Admittedly, the climb through the forest is challenging, but the view over the meandering Doubs River is truly worth it! Keep your eyes peeled, you might just spot some chamois tracks …

So put on your shoes and head towards the Chapel of Aigremont!
