Rich in impressive flora and fauna, the Cirque de Consolation invites you to recharge your batteries.
Many emblematic species reside in this preserved natural space: lynx, chamois, bats, kites, peregrine falcons, owls, etc.
Near rivers, the dipper may grace you with its presence.
A huge playground, the Cirque de Consolation lends itself to different sporting and cultural adventures for everyone:
- Hiking and its 80 kilometers of trails offer opportunities for short walks or more athletic pursuits: two marked loops starting from the monastery allow you to discover the valley and its treasures (rivers, waterfalls, viewpoints, forests, wildlife...). Mountain biking and trail running trails are also available.
- Shows, concerts, yoga sessions, walks, as well as cultural and sporting guided tours are organised in the summer.
- For culture lovers: discover the history of the monastery and chapel and recharge your batteries by strolling through the gardens.
- The open-air café which offers drinks, ice cream, waffles and light meals daily at lunchtime and in the evening.
* Please note: The Lançot waterfall is not always full of water. Linked to a water table, the waterfall depends on the water level. When the water table overflows, it feeds the waterfall.
