Museum
Musée Bost et de l’outil
The Doubs Valley offers ideal conditions for the development of industrial activities with the proximity of the river allowing the exploitation of hydraulic power. Created by Elisée Bost, the Bost company crossed the 20th century, between technological advances and historical and economic upheavals. At the end of the 20th century, the Bost company was among the top five producers of pliers and pincers. Today it is a subsidiary of the Stanley Black&Decker group and employs around a hundred people.
The Bost et de l'Outil museum traces the history of the company and illustrates the evolution of the professions within it. The museum also presents a whole range of tools, some well-known and others with unexpected uses!
Guided tours of the museum by reservation.
