There are hikes near us, and given that Baume les Dames is surrounded by 7 hills, inevitably we are often asked for hikes with a view !

We have therefore selected for you the Top 3 hikes with a view ! Be careful, you're going to be amazed and if you're discreet enough, you might even see some chamois, yes yes...

The Châtard cross: not to be missed!

It's here essential hike to do at Baume les Dames ! A pretty loop which takes part of ridges, a part on Eurovélo 6.

The perfect hike from 8 kms, in a loop,  to have a great view of the city with a orientation table at the top.

Mount Damage

This 12 km hike, starting from the banks of the Doubs, will take you to the heights of theone of the highest hills in Baume. After Mont Dommage which peaks at 569 m, you will discover the village of Esnans and its characterful buildings. You will end the walk along the canal.

Please note that this hike presents steep passages, be careful!

the Doubs valley

This beautiful 21 km hike, starting from Baume les Dames is fairly technical and will offer you very beautiful viewpoints over the Doubs valley throughout the course.
A large part of this route is done from the ridge path which follows the GR59, which offers very beautiful viewpoints.
